In our CFCs – together with the proprietary software applications – we operate a world-class online grocery business that automates the single pick of products, ready for your online delivery.About the RoleAs an Engineering Technician, you will play an integral part in delivering pre-planned and reactive maintenance within our state-of-the-art automated fulfilment centre in Purfleet. Working at height and using a variety of access equipment, you will diagnose equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner, completing repairs where possible. You will handle the Computerised Maintenance Management System, maintaining accurate data records to meet Engineering KPIs. You will support the Engineering team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance.You will work a shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation, consisting of 12 hour shifts across days, nights and weekends.About youIf you are looking for your next step in your Engineering career, this role is for you!You will ideally have a formal Engineering qualification, along with hands-on experience. Ideally, you have a good technical understanding of automation hardware and software, along with good working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and conveyor systems.Organised and meticulous, you are a natural problem solver with great analytical skills. You can communicate effectively, and you are able to share knowledge and best practice with your peers.
