You will work closely with business teams and cross functional engineering leaders to develop and implement market leading solutions for the various projects within GBME.About the JobDo you thrive when faced with challenges? In this exciting role, you’ll apply your analytical skills to design and develop applications that deliver excellence, effectiveness, and value to our business partners and customers.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Work closely with end users, and business teams to understand business needs, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments as needed
  • Partner with Architecture on the design and integration
  • Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications
  • Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation
  • Design, deliver and implement a database schema
  • Design test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testing
  • Write deployment scripts and leverage tools such as the Accelerator pipeline to promote code
  • Support the solution in production (as needed)
  • Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries.
  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Able to work with and refactor legacy code (as needed).
  • Coach and train end users (as needed).
  • Participate and run SCRUM Meetings (as needed).

  • Strong developer in Java, JavaScript and SpringBoot.
  • Experience with 2 or more modern development languages (Python, Java, etc.)
  • 4+ years’ experience developing, deploying, and maintaining large scale applications with complex integration.
  • Experience in building REST APIs in a modern Java-based enterprise environment, with considerations around stability, scalability, security, traffic management, observability, discovery, testing and documentation.
  • Recent experience with relational and non relational databases.
  • 2 + years’ experience reading, writing, and running SQL scripts.
  • Advanced skill level in database programming, including SQL queries, commands, constraints, performance, tuning, stored procedures, JDBC, and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with UNIX Shell scripting in Sun Solaris/Linux environments.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with experience and understanding of Test-Driven Development methodology.
  • Understanding of microservice architectures, domain-driven design, concurrency, and multithreading.
  • Skilled in object orientated analysis and design, SOLID principles, object-relational mapping, JSON and XML schemas, Protocol buffers, and serialization/deserialization.
  • Experience with at least one of the leading messaging systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka, ActiveMQ, JMS, or Solace.
  • Experience with modern DevOps tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, continuous integration, and deployment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with some automated deployment.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and security principles
  • Capital Markets product knowledge
  • Cloud, Kubernetes experience
  • Experience with Messaging BUS/Brokers; IBM MQ/ Kafka/ Redis
  • Experience working with real-time, high availability and low latency systems
  • Experience in java multi-threaded applications
