Job description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Corporate Responsibility Officer to lead our clients Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping and implementing strategies that align with our mission of driving sustainable energy solutions while positively impacting the environment, society, and the clients stakeholders.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement CSR strategies and programs aligned with the company’s vision and values.
- Foster community engagement initiatives, such as renewable energy education programs, charity partnerships, and volunteering opportunities.
- Lead sustainability awareness campaigns both internally and externally to promote the company’s social responsibility goals.
- Measure and report on the impact of CSR initiatives, ensuring alignment with global standards.
- Design and execute ESG strategies that integrate into the core business operations and long-term plans.
- Conduct ESG performance assessments and recommend improvements.
- Oversee sustainability reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or TCFD.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure supply chain and operational activities adhere to ESG principles.
- Monitor and address regulatory changes related to ESG and sustainability in Ireland and the EU.
- Act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including regulators, investors, NGOs, and community groups, to communicate the company’s CSR and ESG efforts.
- Build partnerships with industry groups and public organizations to promote renewable energy and sustainability.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement sustainability projects and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and training to employees to embed a culture of responsibility and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in CSR, ESG, sustainability, or a similar role, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and sustainability challenges.
- Proficiency in ESG reporting frameworks and sustainability certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and drive collaborative initiatives.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
- Knowledge of Irish and EU environmental policies and sustainability standards.
