This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and growing residential real estate owner / developer / builder in a key role. The successful candidate will work closely with the President and CEO, to arrange for the securing of project financing from third party lending institutions and investors for the execution of development projects from the company’s portfolio of real estate holdings.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Work closely with the President and CEO in the acquisition and award of new construction loan financing and investment capital to be utilized for the development and construction of the company’s real estate land portfolio
  • Utilize your network and cultivate relationships with potential lenders and investors in order to secure new capital and monetary resources for company construction projects
  • Prepare loan documentation packages to be submitted to third party lending institutions for approval on project financing
  • Advise internal leadership on the best course of action and approach to maximize the potential for desired loans and project financing to be awarded
  • Work with third party lenders / underwriters to liaise on all required documentation, correspondence and collaboration regarding the loan application submission and approval processes
  • Work collaboratively with the internal finance and accounting, real estate development, and construction teams to ensure accurate and timely collection and provision of required information and materials to third party lenders
  • All other related duties as required

  • Strong track record of brokering construction loans and investments for residential land development projects of low rise production or condominium builds, loan or investment values up to and in excess of $50M per transaction
  • Strong cultivated network and database of lending and investment contacts to draw upon for generation of new loan and investment financing funds
  • Direct experience working in a commercial brokerage or lending institution in a dedicated loan underwriting position, with direct experience underwriting construction loans of $30M-$50M in value for residential building developers
  • Direct experience in residential construction underwriting and draw financing
  • Strong leadership skills and initiative
  • Work well in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written business communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
