OverviewAre you a strategic and dynamic leader in marketing and communications? Do you have a passion for developing engaging messaging and driving behaviour change? We invite you to consider joining our team as a manager, Marketing and Communications.In this role, you’ll report to the director and oversee the operations of our marketing, communications, and engagement initiatives as part of the Stakeholder Experience, Marketing, and Communications division. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a dedicated portfolio-based team in crafting and executing integrated, stakeholder-focused strategies that support internal operations and advance our mission of promoting workplace health and safety. This manager will support enterprise initiatives.How you’ll make a difference: You’ll build the understanding and trust that help WorkSafeBC serve workers, employers, and health care providers across B.C.Where you’ll workIn this role, you’ll work primarily from our Richmond office, with some flexibility to work from your home in B.C.What you’ll do
- Oversee marketing and communications services across divisions, developing and implementing plans to achieve strategic goals.
- Advise team leaders, directors, and senior executives on strategies and materials for marketing, communication, and engagement objectives.
- Provide consultation and strategic direction on traditional and digital channels, including worksafebc.com, WorkSafe Network (WSN), divisional hubs and newsletters, social media, video, print, and in-person engagements to ensure a consistent user and client experience.
- Champion the organization’s strategic priorities, brand, and experience framework, ensuring alignment with overall objectives.

Your background and experience
- A degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Business, or another relevant discipline.
- A minimum of six years of experience in a combined communications, marketing, or creative services function.
- A minimum three years of experience managing people and projects.
- Experience in issues management, research and experience design, or project management is considered an asset.
