An exciting and interesting opportunity has arisen in the Urology Centre for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team of expert andinnovative Urologists, CNSs, nurses and researchers.This position will help you to build knowledge and to develop the experience and skills in order for you to further your career within Urology. Weare a busy unit with a worldwide reputation. - Phlebotomy + Cannulation
- Demonstrates urology expertise underpinned by theory acquired through CPD
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate specialist care and information delivered to patients and relatives
- Good communication skills and ability to deal with sensitive information. To include dealing with distressed relatives, care of acutely ill & other challenging situations
- Urethral catheterization of males and females
Desirable
- Administration of Intravesical chemotherapy
- Advanced communication skills (sage and thyme)
- Knowledge of urodynamics
- Administration of intravesical treatments for painful bladder + recurring urine infections
- Supra pubic catheterisation
- Evidence of teaching ISC

- Evidence of mentoring/ SSAP
