DescriptionMy client is a well-established, international clothing manufacturer, they are looking for a Fabric Technologist to work with the Menswear Teams, om new developments, sourcing, and quality for high street collections.Fabric Technologist – The Role
- You will work with suppliers & mills internationally to develop commercial fabrics.
- Ensure sourcing and innovation is in line with business strategy
- Cost and cross cost fabric developments and monitor quality/compliance
- Manage new development, lab dips and test reports inline with customer requirements, and be the key contact for submissions and approvals for the customer and mills.
- Complete risk assessments on new fabrics, and work with supplier on any issues.
- Manage fibre compositions and care label requirements.
- Catalogue and update technical files.
Fabric Technologist – The Person
- Relevant working experience in a commercial fabric Technologist role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organised with an excellent attention to detail
- A confident, proactive approach capable of working effectively in a team under pressure in a demanding fast paced, high street supplier environment
- Ability to interact effectively with suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
