Join the Public Affairs Team as a Public Affairs Specialist and be part of our mission to support the development of science and innovation. As the Public Affairs Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our strategic partnerships team.
This role will report to the Public Affairs Manager.

As a Public Affairs Specialist you will:

  • Support the development and dissemination of the WEF Reports by managing stakeholder mapping and associated surveys.
  • Assist the BI/Data team with survey analysis and promote collaboration between science writers and Chief Editors.
  • Ensure regular check-ins with the PA Manager and WEF team and aid the PA/PR/social media team in developing communication and dissemination strategies.
  • Support the successful delivery of all aspects of the strategic partnership by assisting the PA team in engaging Frontiers at annual meetings and contributing to the blogs and Transformation Maps.
  • Provide support to PA external stakeholder projects and coordinating with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with partners like ISC, GESDA, UNFCCC, COP, OHCR, Falling Walls, UNGA, and UNESCO.
  • Support the Policy Labs team in coordinating projects with stakeholders, copyediting content and updating the blog platform.
  • Provide additional support through a journal comparison service with Plan S, candidate profiling for conferences, and updating internal platforms

Skills and Experience

  • Science and/or policy background
  • Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills is a must
  • Demonstrable planning and project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with content management software like SquareSpace or WordPress (desirable)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Confluence
  • Knowledge of languages (e.g. German, French, Spanish) will be an asset
  • Data analysis and management skills, expertise with Tableau reports and Excel required
