This opportunity is well suited for individuals who are seeking to become registered in the future as an Associate Advising Representative. and provide support to our Private Wealth Advisor and Portfolio Management Teams who look after the investment and financial planning needs for a diverse base of high-net-worth clients.The day-to-dayCollaborate with client facing team of portfolio managers and financial planners in supporting client relationships.Responsibilities include:Support in assessing clients’ investment objectives and risk profiles to design and create appropriate investment strategies. Support in the review of client portfolios on a regular basis.Support on the financial planning needs of clients.Preparation of meeting material for client meetingsResponding to client requests, including assistance in account rebalancing and tradingPreparation of proposals for prospective clients.Partnering with our in-house Wealth Advisory Services team, outside experts (legal, accounting, tax) and the clients’ advisors to identify the best wealth management strategy to meet clients’ needsComplete training requirements in a timely mannerAct with integrity and conduct business in a way that is consistent with our corporate valuesInspire trust by being open, honest and direct in communication, meeting commitments and behaving ethically in all dealings.Treat all stakeholders with professionalism, dignity and respect and support an environment where people can contribute and excel.Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills that contribute to working effectively in a diverse working environment.Accept responsibility and accountability for actions and results.The successful incumbentThe Private Wealth Associate will be able to earn the confidence and trust of high net worth clients and business owners when providing wealth management support and service.Core knowledge requirementsBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent.Having or pursuing the CIM or CFA portfolio management designations.Having or pursuing the F.Pl. Financial Planning designation.Demonstrated experienceRelevant investment management and financial planning experience would be an asset.Reputation for integrity, values and fair dealing.Demonstrated passion for client service.Superior presentation, communications, and interpersonal skills.Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Good understanding of capital markets, risk and wealth management products.Strong self-starter that can contribute and collaborate with the team.Commitment to continuous learning and development in wealth management strategies and industry knowledge.Why work with us?Values-driven, people-first benefitsWellness matters.
