Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality written proposal submissions which reinforce and increase the success rate of the business development activities of RBC Investor Services (RBCIS). You will work as part of RBCIS’ Proposal Management team, providing solid technical writing expertise which accurately and positively positions RBCIS’ capabilities versus its competitors, through proposals, RFPs, presentations and due diligence questionnaires.What will you do?

  • Review and analyze proposal/RFP/presentation/due diligence scope to determine key project requirements
  • Project plan to ensure timely completion/submission of assigned activities
  • Generate initial draft using content database and other sources. Solicit and coordinate timely input from relevant subject matter experts where appropriate.
  • Incorporate all information into presentable, professional, well written and highly competitive proposals which address client needs while highlighting RBCIS’ organizational strengths.
  • Interface with Business Development and Client Success leads to ensure responses meet client / prospect / consultant requirements, reflecting RBCIS’ strategic direction and providing consistency with respect to competitive positioning, tone of voice and visual brand standards.
  • Support business development through research, participation in the deal review process, engagement with clients/prospects/consultants or other activities where required
  • Monitor and research general industry, regulatory and other trends to clearly position RBCIS as the intelligent asset servicing provider of choice.
  • Leverage CRM system to track, analyze and report on the effectiveness of the proposal and business development activities being undertaken by RBCIS.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • BA or BSc in business, or other relevant degree.
  • Sound knowledge of the financial services and securities industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in curating and delivering compelling and articulate written proposal submissions.
  • Demonstrated at conducting appropriate market and industry research and synthesizing findings to support and enhance written arguments.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Nice-to-have

  • Proficiency in French considered an asset
  • Experience using CRM or RFP automation software
  • Publishing experience
