To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.Would you like to work in the place where you will be part of supportive and welcoming team and will have an opportunity to make a difference for the patients?We are looking for a Registered Nurse first level (Adult) to work on ward A at Lorn & Islands Hospital in Oban.Ward A is a surgical ward with 14 beds receiving 24 hours daily and Day Bed Unit receiving both elective and emergency admissions. We also admit medical patients and patients requiring palliative and end of life care.This is a great opportunity to learn the wide range of the nursing skills and gain experience of working in rural hospital in a beautiful and bustling seaside town of Oban.Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to assess, plan and implement care for surgical patients. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
