Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Senior Manager, Multimedia, will support RBC’s efforts to shape the conversation around critical issues by leading on the development and execution of multi-media strategy in support of RBC Thought Leadership’s objectives.In this role, you will collaborate closely with our researchers, writers, and strategy team to elevate the profile and reach of RBC’s thought leadership initiatives. By developing and executing multimedia formats—such as video, audio, animations, and more—you will create compelling, accessible, and engaging content to amplify our research and insights across diverse platforms.The ideal candidate brings an innovative mindset and a deep understanding of storytelling to ensure that RBC remains at the forefront of content creation across our strategic priorities, including geopolitics & trade, disruptive technology (AI adoption, clean tech), human capital (skills, education, demographics) and housing.What will you do?
- Develop and execute multimedia strategies across our products and key themes
- Design and produce multimedia content, including short-form videos, and live-streamed events.
- Work with our graphic designer to create animations, infographics, and supporting artwork
- Collaborate with and advise researchers and writers on best practices for translating complex ideas into visually engaging and accessible formats.
- Create a consistent visual and editorial tone for multimedia assets, aligned with RBC’s brand and values.
- Work with the strategy team to develop and execute multimedia campaigns that maximize reach and impact across channels
- Ensure all content is optimized for platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and RBC’s owned channels.
- Support the promotion of flagship reports, webinars, and events with engaging event multimedia content.
- Serve as a senior adviser to the team, sharing best practices for creating and distributing multimedia content.
- Ensure all multimedia content adheres to accessibility standards (e.g., closed captioning, screen-reader-friendly formats).
- Stay ahead of multimedia trends and introduce innovative content strategies to the team.
- Report on key success metrics
What do you need to succeed?Must-have
- 7+ years of experience in multimedia production, content creation, or related roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in graphic design
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful multimedia strategies and campaigns.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality videos and digital media content for diverse audiences.
- Experience working with corporate or thought leadership content (preferred).
