The successful candidate will have experience in collaborative architectural design teams on major rail, transport and linear infrastructure projects, city planning or Science and Industry buildings in Canada, the US or internationally.Is this role right for you?The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:· Delivers comprehensive design services and creative/innovative solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements from concept to project handover.· Collaborates within multi-disciplinary teams to produce fully coordinated project information, including BIM models, drawings, schedules, and specifications.· Works closely with team Leadership to set and maintain a culture of excellence, attention to detail, and technical checking.· Nurtures relationships, both internally and externally and provides guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.· Delivers work with commercial awareness.· Engages in client-facing activities, ensuring effective communication.· Actively participates in work winning and business development efforts.· Contributes to raising the profile of the team both within the firm and the professional community.· Promotes Health & Safety awareness and implement into day-to-day project activities.We also value:· In-depth knowledge of the National Building Code, Ontario Building Code, and International Building Code.· Experience with LEED and delivering sustainable buildings.· Experience on Public Transit, Transit Oriented Development is a highly valued asset.· Familiarity with the Science, Industry, and Technology sectors.· Familiarity with building retrofit and adaptive reuse sectors· Project Management experience or certification.Qualifications:We’re looking for someone who is a team player and who is passionate about Architecture and delivering projects that shape a better world.These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:· The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of building design and construction, from conducting feasibility studies to overseeing the detailed design and execution of large technically complex projects.· Completed a professional degree program in architecture (i.e., M.Arch., or B.Arch.) from an accredited school of architecture.· Minimum 6 years post-graduate experience.· Licensed or working towards professional licensure as an Architect with a North American Architectural Association (i.e., OAA, OAQ, NCARB).· Practical knowledge of relevant architectural software including but not limited to Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.· Excellent graphic (including hand sketching), written, and verbal communication skills· You must submit a Portfolio to be considered for this position· Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.Please note that all applicants must apply directly via the job portal. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
