An exciting and rewarding opportunity for a part-time Assistant Psychology role. The M3 programme is an NIHR- funded programme aiming to develop and test a multi-factorial intervention in adults with early-onset type 2 diabetes (aged 16-40 years). The successful applicant will be based at the Leicester Diabetes Centre.Main duties of the jobThe role will involve working closely with Clinical and Chartered Psychologists to contribute to the delivery of psychology alongside a full MDT. Other responsibilities may include attending MDT meetings, clinical audit, and research-related tasks such as assisting with grant writing and dissemination. • An upper second-class honours degree or higher in psychology

ExperienceEssential

• Experience working with people with chronic health conditions
• Experience of therapeutic work in a relevant area to the post

Communication and relationship skillsEssential

• High level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to support individuals who may be experiencing significant distress

Analytical and Judgement skillsEssential

• Proven ability to undertake duties in a confidential and sensitive manner using tact and diplomacy where necessary

• High level of personal and professional credibility
• Ability to work independently or as part of team
