Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.The Process Engineer in Training will report to the Senior Process Innovation Engineer in the corporate Engineering, Technology & Capital group, as well as the Chief Metallurgical Engineer on-site during assignments.At Nutrien, permanent Engineer-in-training candidates are assigned a site rotation at one of the 6 Saskatchewan potash sites, with each rotation lasting for 12-18 months before moving to a new site for the next rotation. The expectation for a permanent rotational EIT position is to last 2-5 years, at which time the Engineer in Training is expected to apply for full-time jobs outside of the rotational program as they arise.This position will be located at our Cory site for the first Engineer in Training Rotation and is not available for remote work.What you will do:

  • While at the site, the duties will be dictated by the site metallurgical department, and will include:
  • Monitor the process in the Mill
  • Perform unit operation and circuit mass balances
  • Make recommendations and implement changes to improve processes
  • Assist with supervisory duties for the Lab Technicians
  • Develop test plans for exploring potential process improvements
  • Participate in safety programs
  • Collaborate with other departments on processing projects
  • Project lead on metallurgical projects
  • Miscellaneous assignments as they arise due to need and priority

What you will bring:

  • Chemical Engineering Degree or equivalent education/experience in mineral processing
  • Knowledge of mass balancing and process simulation software will be considered an asset
