  • Supporting Executive strategic planning discussions, disseminating information to relevant areas of ERM as appropriate, making linkages, engaging senior leadership in challenging discussions, and supporting a strategic lens and context setting.
  • Preparing and communicating input into diverse and complex annual and strategic plans, reports, and documents; advising on inquiries, proposing solutions, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and develop solutions.
  • Documenting, forecasting, analyzing, investigating and interpreting complex results and providing recommendations for developing solutions, enabling results and organization success.
  • Gathering, maintaining, sharing, and organizing complex, and sensitive material while identifying improvements to moderately complex processes that effect internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting the execution and coordination of ERM’s input into CNL’s Business Planning Cycle, including;
  • Developing the Annual Program of Work and Budget (APWB).
  • Updating the 5 and 10-Year Strategic Plans.
  • Developing and managing the Performance Evaluation Measurement (PEM) Plan.
  • Leading the development of the 9- and 12-Month PEM Plan Self-Assessment.
  • Preparing board material; and,
  • Coordinating other strategic improvements or requests on behalf of ERM MPO and ERM Office of the VP.
  • Responding to urgent Executive level requests for assistance, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Education
  • University Degree or Diploma from a recognized educational institute and eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience or equivalent combination of formal training with a minimum of 5 years of related and progressive experience is required.
  • Experience
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years’ experience or equivalent combination of formal training with a minimum of 5 years of related and progressive experience is required
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of strategic and operational planning processes, balanced scorecards and performance management.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities. Comfortable engaging with people and cross-functional teams to accomplish objectives, form new relationships, optimize resources, and solve challenging problems.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and oral and written communication capabilities.
  • Ability to define and manage improvement projects and special initiatives with limited guidance. Adept at synthesizing complex information and distilling such information into clear and concise messages for written reports or oral presentations.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills. Advanced level capability in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and MS Access and working knowledge of Primavera, MS Visio, and ImpAct. Able to learn/use CNL’s document management system and other applications.
  • Highly self-motivated and team player. Comfortable performing duties based on broad general direction and minimal oversight and willing to work cooperatively with others.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
