To support that mission, the Strategy Data Analyst will help research and analyze member behavior and product and service adoption trends across all business units to inform corporate wide strategy analytics. The insights and recommendations provided in this role are critical to UNFCU’s strategy.This position is expected to be hybrid.NYC Salary Range – $88,190 – $110,000 annually; compensation is commensurate to geographic location. What you’ll do:
- Regardless of seniority or role, uphold UNFCU’s mission, core values, and guiding principles by providing an exceptional service experience to colleagues and members alike through consistent demonstration of our service excellence behaviors.
- Assemble and analyze data sources across multiple departments to produce detailed presentations and dashboards as requested by senior management.
- Conduct structured and rigorous research and analysis on the external environment to generate valuable insights that position UNFCU to choose the right strategic focus areas.
- Stay current on global changes related to industry trends, the United Nations, UNFCU’s member universe, and factors within UNFCU. Identify patterns or themes that help the organization identify new strategic focus areas or modify existing ones.
- Work closely with other departments, such as Information Technology & Security, Finance, Global Channels and Operations, Product Solutions, and Corporate Marketing to ensure data initiatives are integrated and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, to support continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and UNFCU’s Code of Ethics & Business Conduct.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and professional societies.
What we’re seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer or Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, or Statistics or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency
- 2-3 years of experience in data science and/or analytics
- Experience in business and data analysis in a corporate setting
- Understanding of complex data structures
- Proficient in organizing and analyzing unstructured data
- High degree of proficiency with Excel
- Proficient with query and dashboard tools (SQL server, Tableau)
- Strong data visualization skills
- Experience with data modeling
