This rewarding role is ideal if you have a passion for supporting people on their rehab’ journey. Working as a Therapy Assistant, you would be providing essential support for Therapists and playing an important part in our Stroke and Neuro’ rehabilitation service. This exciting role will be shared between working on the Acute Stroke & Rehab’ Ward and the Neuro-Outpatient, Amputees and AIRE Unit Team.Our teams are committed to developing our support workforce. We want to provide the right people with the skills and experience that can lead to a rewarding career.Main duties of the jobGeneric Therapy Assistants support service areas to assess, plan and implement a range of interventions to improve the functional ability and well-being of individuals and/or groups. The post holder will be responsible for activities delegated to them and will work without direct supervision but will have immediate access to a clinician for advice and direction as required. Generic Assistants are expected to continually improve their knowledge and skills and work collaboratively with therapy and dietetic colleagues to enhance patient care.About usTherapy Services consists of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians, assistants and administration staff.
