Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Senior Manager, Access Management, will primarily be responsible for managing access to the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) in compliance with all necessary controls and due diligence requirements. This role also serves as the Product Owner of the Data Management Office (DMO) Information Squad, responsible for delivering and evolving the P&CB data platforms, with a primary focus on EDW, to enable business partners to achieve their strategic goals while ensuring adherence to RBC Enterprise Data Policy and Standards.What will you do?Access ManagementOversee the end-to-end process of access management within the Enterprise Data Warehouse, ensuring full compliance with enterprise policies and standards.Monitor access logs and conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure the secure and appropriate use of data resources.Serve as the primary point of contact for data access requests, coordinating approvals with relevant stakeholders.Develop training materials and facilitate communication on access management policies, procedures, and best practices.Continuously evaluate and enhance access management protocols, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and industry standards.Product Owner of DMO SquadCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements for information capabilities and ensure deliverables align with organizational data strategies and objectives.Define, manage, and prioritize the DMO squad’s product backlog, with a focus on enhancing and expanding the Enterprise Data Warehouse.Perform data analysis (as needed) before ingestion or under BAU to ensure data integrity by profiling, cleanup, and writing complex SQL queries.Partner with technology teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable data solutions.Track progress against roadmap objectives and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.Data Management Advisory :Lead and support the scaled integration of data governance best practices into P&CB data platforms.Develop and implement standardized processes and frameworks for data governance to enable simplified, consistent, and scalable management of data resources.Serve as a trusted advisor to business units by providing expert guidance on executing data management requirements, including metadata management, data quality assurance, and data ownership models.Champion the adoption of data governance tools and technologies, facilitating their integration into existing workflows and maximizing their impact on organizational efficiency.What do you need to succeed?Must have:5–10 years of experience in the financial services industry.Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with data governance practices, including metadata management, data quality, and access management etc.Extensive experience in data analysis, profiling, cleanup, and writing complex SQL queries.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira.Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and balance competing needs across multiple business and technology stakeholders in an enterprise environment.Excellent corporate communication skills (written and verbal), with proven experience in change management.Proven experience in designing and documenting frameworks, guidelines, and procedures.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Nice to have:Familiarity with Python, Data Lake, Azure, and Tableau is considered an asset.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
