GCRI’s objectives include:
1. Global Knowledge Exchange: Creating a platform for interdisciplinary discussion and research on risk and resilience, fostering global collaboration among industry leaders, academics, policymakers, and practitioners
2. Standardization and Metrology: Developing and promoting standards and measurement practices to enhance the reliability and interoperability of risk management strategies.
3. Systems Innovation: Building tools, capacities and communities for the development and application of risk management technologies, standards, and innovation ecosystems.
4. Scholarly and Industry Publications: Publishing standards, reports, and scholarly articles to contribute to academic and practical discourse in risk management.

As part of the Global Centre for Risk and Innovation (GCRI), GRF brings together experts, policymakers, industry leaders, and thought leaders worldwide to collaborate on sustainable solutions and strategic interventions. GRF disseminates critical insights and fosters global dialogue on climate change, public health, technological disruptions, and geopolitical tensions through its ongoing media series. Utilizing diverse digital platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, GRF effectively engages a broad audience, raising awareness and inspiring proactive actions toward resilience and sustainable development. By integrating multidisciplinary approaches and leveraging advanced technologies, GRF aims to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhance global preparedness, and build a well-informed, proactive community capable of addressing and mitigating complex global challenges.In the GRF ongoing media series, the Content Creation and Scriptwriting Support team plays a pivotal role in shaping the narrative and ensuring each video segment effectively communicates GRF’s mission and objectives. Positioned at the heart of content development, the Scriptwriter collaborates closely with subject matter experts and the content strategist to craft compelling storylines that resonate with diverse audiences. By conducting thorough research on emerging global risks and integrating accurate, up-to-date information, the Content Creator ensures that the content is informative and engaging. Their ability to revise and refine scripts based on team feedback guarantees that the final output maintains high standards of clarity and engagement. This role is essential for translating complex climate and risk-related topics into accessible and impactful messages, enhancing GRF’s ability to educate and inspire action among stakeholders and the general public.Task type:Communication and social mediaTask description:Develop and craft engaging and informative scripts that effectively communicate GRF’s objectives and resonate with the target audience.Key Responsibilities:-Script Development: Create 4-6 compelling monthly storylines tailored to GRF’s objectives and target audience.
-Research: Conduct thorough research on global risks, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information integration into all content.
-Collaboration: Work with at least two subject matter experts weekly to ensure content relevance and accuracy.
-Revisions: Revise and refine scripts based on feedback from the team, achieving a 90% approval rate on first drafts.
-Content Consistency: Maintain tone, style, and messaging consistency across all scripts to align with GRF’s branding guidelines.Success Criteria:
-The project manager approves 100% of scripts before production.
-Achieve an average audience engagement rate (views, likes, shares) of 20% per video.
-Maintain a turnaround time of one week from script assignment to final approval.Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Creative Writing, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in scriptwriting, content creation, or journalism.
Proven track record of developing scripts for video content, documentaries, or similar media formats.
Experience in researching and writing on complex topics, preferably in environmental science, climate change, or global risks.
Writing Proficiency: Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities, with a strong command of grammar and style.
Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research and synthesize complex information into clear, engaging scripts.
Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with subject matter experts and team members.
Adaptability: Ability to revise and refine content based on feedback and evolving project needs.
Creativity: Innovative thinking to develop compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Work Hours: 11 – 15
