There is a new exciting opportunity to work within the Business Intelligence function within the Finance team of ABUHB.The role is based on the Llanfrechfa Grange Hospital site, but with an opportunity to work in an agile manner across all the Health Board’s sites and remotely. This permanent role represents an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible individual; with excellent benefits such as 28 days annual leave, attractive Pension scheme, Salary Sacrifice schemes and flexible working opportunities.Main duties of the jobAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in the role of Decision Support Analyst, with the post holder being an integral part of the expanding Business Intelligence and Value team.The post holder will utilise a full suite of key financial performance indicators, specifically focusing upon financial aspects of the performance management, reporting and performance improvement of the Health Board.Specifically, leadership, co-ordination and challenge as part of benchmarking exercises. Also, the financial aspects, particularly through the Time Driven Activity Based Costing approach, of the Value Based Health Care method, projects and team that are being developed within the Health Board.The post holder will also need to acquire or develop other data sources to support these, including both the input from and output to, other clinical and data management systems across the Health Board.The role will also contribute to the development of holistic views of financial performance across all sectors of the Health Board including Primary, Community, Secondary Care and Mental Health.About usAneurin Bevan University Health Board is a multi-award-winning NHS organisation with a passion for caring.   • Significant analytical and logical abilities in working with complex data
  • Project Management
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Word

  • Able to demonstrate experience of working in a customer focused manner
  • Experience of working with budget holders
  • Highly competent user of Excel

  • Experience of working in the NHS
