Job description
Sain-Altra (CNS)Irelands National Action Plan in response to COVID-19, published by the Department of Health, outlines the multi-agency actions to be taken in response to the current crisis. The need to maintain critical and ongoing services for essential patient care is emphasised. The purpose of the role is to triage and manage Oncology patients who present with complications of treatment during COVID 19 Pandemic.The introduction of this nurse-led service will mean that where possible cancer patients will avoid attendance to acute hospital ED and day wards during the COVID pandemic. Patients will be triaged assessed and managed and will be referred on or discharged home in a timely manner.
