Our work environments are designed with specific themes in mind to achieve a consistent global identity that reflects our values: simplicity, collaboration, elements of nature and symmetry.Position Details: The Default Management Associate is responsible for the management and oversight of accounts that are in breach of contract due to being delinquent and requiring repossession of the vehicle, being insurance-deficient, requiring legal collections, requiring collections via a third-party agency or being insolvent. This also includes the management of accounts under bankruptcy, consumer proposal or with a deceased party. Additionally, the role will need to manage high-level admin tasks and calling customers when needed.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Repossession Management: Prepare documentation, assign repossession files, track progress, validate costs, and manage updates in CRM and auction systems.
  • Insurance Deficiency: Handle follow-ups for deficient accounts, process Final Notices and prepare repossession assignments.
  • Deficiency Collections: Collect post-insurance balances, manage charge-offs, and coordinate with agencies or law firms.
  • Vendor Invoice Management: Validate invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and assist with vendor budget planning.
  • Ancillary Product Cancellations: Submit and track cancellations, ensuring timely vendor payments.
  • Billing and Payment Deferrals: Process billing charges, fee waivers, and deferral letters.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience with demonstrated success in repossession operations, including documentation preparation, file assignments, and follow-ups to close cases.
  • Experience with insurance-deficient accounts, handling follow-ups, processing Final Notices, and managing repossession assignments.
  • Skilled in deficiency balances collections, post-insurance payments, charge-offs, and coordination with collection agencies or law firms.
  • Vendor invoice management, including validation, reconciliation, and budget planning.

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Proficient in HCCA’s CRM system, managing repossession and insurance deficiency data.
  • Strong knowledge of cash forecasting, daily cash positioning, and bank reconciliation.
  • Advanced SAS, SQL, and Microsoft Excel skills, with expertise in integrating data across systems.
  • Experience in managing ancillary product cancellations and ensuring SLA-compliant payments.
  • Skilled in thru-billing processes, fee waivers, and payment deferral management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on conflict resolution and relationship building.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
