The services provide care 365 days a year.We are currently looking for Independence Support Workers (carers) who can work within Thurrock in either our Community Homecare team, Extra Care Housing Complex in Grays or at Collins House, our Care Home in Corringham. We also regularly require casual staff to support with staff absence – if you think you could support us working alongside experienced staff then please apply.All our services run on 7 hour shifts starting between 6 and 7 in the morning and 2 and 3 in the afternoon. All rotas cover both early and late shifts and weekends (2 out of 4).Full Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle required for working in the Community – mileage paid at 45p per mile.The Council supports the Covid-19 vaccination programme and encourages staff delivering front-line care services to take up the offer of double vaccination.The successful candidate will need to have a professional attitude at all times and have knowledge around the understanding of Dementia, Challenging behaviours and Manual Handling – training also provided.A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for Adults is required at Enhanced plus Adults Barred List level.For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Kayleigh Arthurton on or Janine Wildman on .Advert Closing Dates:
