Job Description:Directorate: Adults & HealthJob Title: Wellbeing WorkerLocation: Chadwell & TilburySalary: Band C – £28,344 – £31,719 per annum (pro rata if part-time)Permanent Contract37 Hours per weekRotas will be covering 7 hr shifts starting at 7am or 4pm. However, you may occasionally be required to start earlier to meet the needs of the business. We ask you for your shift availability when you apply, and you’ll need to be available to work weekends.An exciting opportunity has arisen within Caring for Thurrock, Wellbeing Team.Wellbeing Teams provide personal care and other support to enable people to live well at home and be part of their community.We challenge the loneliness, boredom and helplessness that many older people experience, and support people to feel connected, to contribute, be active and have purpose, their own way. We welcome people who have never done care work before – we will provide you with all of the training and support you need. If you have not done care work before, you might want to look at this to check whether it is for youIf you have done care work before – we will provide you with all the training and support you need to work differently, as the Wellbeing Worker’s role is not the same as traditional care.The successful candidate will need to have a professional attitude at all times and have knowledge around the understanding of Dementia, Challenging behaviours and Manual Handling – training also provided.A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for Adults is required at Enhanced plus Barred List level.For an informal discussion about the post, please contactAdvert Closing Date
