As an Associate Specialist Palliative Care Nurse, you will provide evidence-based specialist palliative care and advice to patient, families and staff to ensure the delivery of high quality, person centred palliative care over 7 days.The team links closely with other teams and departments across the trust and more widely across organisational boundaries.You will also support the delivery of palliative and end of life care education.In return you will join a supportive team and be supported to develop within the role.Main duties of the jobManage a caseload of patients with specialist palliative care needs.Use specialist knowledge to provide advice and support around complex palliative care including symptom management and psycho-social support.Establish and maintain highly effective communication with patient’s, families and professionals including dealing with sensitive and complex issues.Support the provision of education delivery across professional disciplines.Participate in relevant audit and research.About usThe Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester.
