Whatever your priorities – work / life balance, career progression, sustainability, volunteering – you’ll find like-minded people driving change at Howden.Job DescriptionAs our IBA Account Handler – Credit Control, you will join an established and highly encouraging team and be responsible for looking after the clearance of outstanding balances and query resolution on assigned accounts or activities.Helping us to meet Key Performance Indicator targets and keep accurate records and support the business, whilst ensuring to work within our team’s controls and procedures. This is an ideal role for someone looking to deepen their accounts experience.This permanent role will be hybrid-working based within our London office, where the environment is vibrant, and close to local amenities.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsuring the receipt of funds are reconciled within agreed timeframes and any ‘unallocated’ cash items identified and queriedAssist with the reconciliation of accounts to markets and clients, as the need arisesEnsure all outstanding accounts are chased appropriatelyAssist with reviewing and processing of IBA payment requestsRaise issues where vital for resolution or direction in line with set policies and procedures.Collect and supervise any funded balances.Ensure that all processes are being completed on a timely and accurate basisResolve queries promptly and efficiently, in a friendly and efficient manner consistent with agreed Service Level timeframesDevelop positive relationships with the Business Divisions, Suppliers & MarketsLiaise with auditors when vital to assist with their annual reportingSkills & Attributes:Microsoft – Outlook, Word & Excel – IntermediateStrong interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent organisation skills combined with being able to self empower and show initiativeKnowledge of Insurance Broking IT Platforms – eg Acturis, would be helpful but not crucial.What do we offer in return?A career that you define.
