Students in the final year of a Radiation Therapy Program are encouraged to apply with flexible starts dates available pending registration with ACMDTT.Description:As a Radiation Therapist I, you will deliver a prescribed course of radiation treatment to patients and assist in the efficient, safe and accurate planning of patient’s care during simulation and/or planning procedures according to the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. You will assess each patient’s reactions to treatment, document treatment plans, and maintain patient records. Additionally, you will educate patients about treatment procedures, side effects, and appropriate management strategies to mitigate the side effects of treatment, making referrals to other health professionals as needed.

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or accredited non-Canadian program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Additional Required Qualifications:Basic Life Support (BLS). Must be able to perform all duties of the job including lifting and moving.
