This internship is designed to be in-person and full-time (35 hours) but can be adjusted based on request by the successful candidate.Expected durationMinimum 3 monthsDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe UN Office of the Special Adviser on Africa (OSAA) is dedicated to advocating for Africa’s development, promoting international partnerships, and addressing challenges through research and dialogue. In this capacity, OSAA organizes academic conferences to foster discussions around critical issues impacting Africa’s sustainable development. This internship offers a unique opportunity for two motivated individuals to contribute to OSAA’s work by analyzing insights from an academic conference, performing text analysis, and drafting a comprehensive report. The report will capture key discussions, findings, and recommendations to inform future strategies and policies.Qualifications/special skillsApplicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); (b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Internships do not require work experienceLanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in spoken and written English is required for the internship. Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
