Growth see’s them recruiting for a Global Platform Engineer to join their City of London based IT team. This role will work in the office 3 days a week.The RoleThis role reports to the Application Support Manager and works in a team of 7. The Applications Support Engineer will be responsible for providing BAU support to a range of front and back office applications, working on a variety of planned and ad hoc projects, assisting with change and release management and working with development teams to resolve on going issues. There will be a technical test during the interview process.

  • Provide BAU support to a range of front and back-office applications.
  • Work on planned and ad-hoc projects, assisting with change and release management.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve ongoing issues.
  • Support application upgrades and patching within a large professional environment.
  • Handle data imports/exports both internally and externally.
  • Monitor and debug application errors and faults, escalating issues as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PHP, T-SQL, PowerShell, MySQL, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Support and maintain MySQL and T-SQL databases.
  • Provide 3rd line technical support for in-house and 3rd party applications.
  • Improve and support application integrations and business workflows.

Your ProfileTo apply for this role you will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. You will be a team player, savvy and quick at picking up new software’s and applications. You will also be comfortable in a busy environment.Important to note: Work hours are 9-5 with an on call rotation once every 5-6 weeks for a week. 5am-1:30pm or 7am – 3:30pm. Evening jobs vary between 6-10pml All on call shifts are from homeSalary & Benefits

  • £55,000-65,000 + discretionary bonus & extensive benefits
  • 3 days in the office
