Making a difference to the lives of our customers each and every day.The roleTo provide a credible and seamless professional in-house OH service for Bupa and its employees including management referrals, new starter health screening and night worker screening.You’ll help us make health happen by
- Manage a caseload and provide professional and confidential Occupational Health advice to individuals and their line managers, in accordance with policy & procedure, practices and applicable regulations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, such as the Health & Safety Team, People Team and Health & Wellbeing Team to explore options and develop proactive solutions, supporting employees Health and Wellbeing.
- Work in partnership with external providers who support service delivery.
- To provide an input on Occupational Health and related issues as required (e.g. induction, specialist groups/meetings, line managers, training events, focus groups)
- To provide expert, impartial and evidence based case management service for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work, fitness for role and other requests for OH advice.
- Provide professional, comprehensive and evidence based written reports.
- Provide expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to OH.
- To maintain valid and up to date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role
- Experience in Occupational Health case management of varying levels of complexity.
- Demonstrates excellent ability to work professionally as part of a team.
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities with the capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
- Demonstrable experience of developing Occupational Health, and Welfare services and teams to deliver excellent customer service.
- An understanding of current Occupational Health issues and an ability to keep abreast of current initiatives and best practice.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload, to organise time effectively and to cope with the pressures therein.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with Senior Stakeholders.
- Effective Report Writing Skills
- Excellent Communication skills
Mandatory Qualifications / Accreditations:
- RGN and Occupational Health (Diploma or degree) qualification with significant post qualification experience in
remote case management.
- Current NMC registration
