We’re excited to be expanding the team throughout 2024.We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with proven technical knowledge and experience who is excited to work in a centre that is a global destination for technology and innovation. We are recruiting to build our engineering teams in Digital Factory to support the development of innovative and emerging industryfocused solutions. As Senior Engineer you will apply your specialist knowledge and experience of methods and processes, to generate innovative research outputs. You will work collaboratively with your team, industry, technology providers, national technology centres and academia to deliver key projects focused on advanced manufacturing. This role is aimed at candidates with relevant experience in an industrial or academic research and innovation environment.About the Person:The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria * Apply technical knowledge and experience in support of the development of innovative and emerging industryfocused solutions.

  • Undertake high quality industrial research, development and knowledge transfer in the area of automation and robotics process development.
  • Development and implementation of automation and robotics technology to meet industrial challenges.
  • Development and implementation of relevant Industrial Digital Technologies (IDT’s) supporting the concept of the Smart Factory.
  • Formally evaluate the effectiveness of new or enhanced methods arising from research.
  • Engage with industrial partners to facilitate the transfer of AMIC capabilities into commercial production.
