Job DescriptionJob Title: Residential Care Assistant (3-Month Temp, Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our team. This is a 3-month temporary role offering 32 hours per week, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals with a range of disabilities, ensuring their safety, well-being, and quality of life.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred care and support to individuals with diverse disabilities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility support, and meal assistance.
  • Conduct moving and handling tasks safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and address the specific needs of residents with epilepsy.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all residents under your care.
  • Administer medication and provide first aid as required (if trained).
  • Collaborate with colleagues and adhere to care plans and health guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with care standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Essential Qualifications/Certifications:
  • Experience in a residential or adult care setting.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent experience in adult residential care).
  • Certification in Epilepsy Awareness.
  • Moving and Handling certification.
  • Preferred Skills/Certifications:
  • Medication administration training.
  • First Aid – Life Support (practical experience required; e-certificates not accepted).

Working Hours & Availability:

  • 32 hours per week on a rota basis.
  • Shifts may fall between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
  • Expected to work two weekends on and two weekends off.
