Location: Wednesbury Duration: Full time, on going Salary: £90 – £115 per day The School/role: We are currently looking for an experienced SEND teaching assistant who can take on a full-time on-going job role in a Special Educational Needs provision that supports young people aged 5 – 18 with SLD, ASD, PMLD and SEMH needs. They are passionate about preparing students for life and supporting them to achieve their personal goal. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year. In order to be considered for this one to one SEN Teaching Assistant role we require you meet the following criteria;
- Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 2 or 3)
- Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
- Have previous experience of working with children in the last 2 years
- Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
- All Key Stage curriculum experience
- Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Two references working with children
- Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
