Job description
A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accountant to join a forward-thinking energy company operating at the forefront of the oil and gas industry. Initially available on a 6-month temporary basis this could lead to a permanent position.As a Reporting Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the group’s financial integrity. This is a varied and engaging position that includes statutory, joint venture, revenue, and management accounting responsibilities.Key Responsiblities:
- Preparing statutory financial statements and assist in the preparation of group accounts.
- Collaborating with External Auditors to facilitate a seamless year-end audit process.
- Producing financial information for management and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Performing management and financial accounting duties, including fixed assets, decommissioning provisions, and stock accounting.
- Undertaking revenue accounting for group assets and consolidation entries for group companies.
- Supporting the Tax Manager on various tax matters.
- Preparing non-audited accounts for smaller entities within the group.
What We’re Looking For:The ideal candidate will:
- Have a minimum of five years of experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector, with exposure to both operated and non-operated companies.
- Be a part-qualified accountant or fully qualified Accountant.
- Offer proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel skills.
- Ideally possess Experience in ESG reporting.
- Exhibit a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and exceptional analytical skills.
