6 pm – 10 pm Health Care Assistant – CommunityHealth Care Assistant (Community) – Promoting the independence of our elderly community within their own homes!Location: Home Care, WorthingHours: 16 – 20 Hours a weekSalary: £15,358.72 per annum (based on 5 evenings a week & qualifications)Working Hours: 18:00 – 22:00We are looking for individuals with a caring nature, strong communication skills, a clean driving license, and access to their own transport. This involves cleaning, preparing meals, companionship, and personal care, all while following safe working practices and respecting the privacy and dignity of clients.You will be required to support in the community 1 weekend evening.About the roleKey ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care Support: Assist clients with personal care, ensuring hygiene and comfort. Maintain cleanliness of personal care items and hygiene areas.Practical Assistance: Support clients with meal preparation and food-related tasks. Provide domestic help as needed, including shopping, medication administering, ordering and collecting.Promote Well-being: Encourage mental and physical activity for clients to enhance their quality of life.Administrative Duties: Accurately record time sheets and care plans. Make verbal or written reports to the Homecare Office as required.Training and Development: Attend training sessions, team meetings, and supervision sessions. Work towards a QCF (NVQ Level 2) in care and the Care Certificate for CQC registration.Compliance and Safety: Follow Guild Care’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety regulations. Wear the provided uniform and ID badge during work.Professional Conduct: Act as a role model in providing good care practice and effective communication with clients and colleagues. Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested to meet organizational needs.What Kind of Person Are We Looking For?Essential Candidate Criteria:Ability to communicate effectively in English.Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.Ability to work well as part of a team.Ability to travel between clients.A satisfactory DBS check.Desirable Candidate Criteria:Experience in care work, particularly personal care.Experience working with older people or in dementia care.Evidence of QCF (NVQ Level 2) in care, or a willingness to work towards it.As a Community Care Assistant, you will provide vital support to individuals in their homes, ensuring they receive the care they need to live independently and with dignity.
