We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home.As Lead Cook, you will:

  • Lead a team of Cooks and Catering Volunteers
  • Follow the menu plan, working with the care team to ensure meals meet the children’s needs
  • Prepare a variety of meals, including special diets (eg soft, pureed, allergen-free, blended)
  • Support with maintaining cleanliness and perform catering-related cleaning of kitchen, storage areas, equipment, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Manage deliveries and ensure all food items are stored correctly

About You:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in cooking or catering (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience of catering duties including preparation cooking and serving food
  • Knowledge of nutrition, food hygiene, and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to guide and supervise others
