Are you an experienced Band 5 or current Band 6 Physiotherapist with an interest in developing and furthering skills in the Musculoskeletal specialty?If so this could be the role for you!We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within the existing team on the MSK rotation in York Teaching Hospital. Rotations include MSK Outpatients, Rheumatology, Pain Management and Orthopaedic Inpatients.The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the high standard of care provided for our patients as well as supporting student and peer education. There will also be an expectation the candidate contributes towards the Orthopaedic weekend service.We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking practitioner with the desire to develop and improve services. You must have relevant clinical experience, excellent communication and organisational skills.We look forward to receiving your application!Clinical Areas of Work to include : MSK, chronic pain management and rheumatology, outpatient orthopaedics, inpatient orthopaedics.Main duties of the jobTo undertake the specialist physiotherapy assessment and management of a designated group of patients within the specialty of musculoskeletal orthopaedic out patients & inpatients.To provide support, specialist advice and training to more junior members of staff and students. To act as a resource within the department and Trust providing specialist information and advice regarding patients within the speciality of orthopaedics.To be responsible for a defined area of service working without direct supervision, Clinical work is not routinely evaluated, however clinical work will be evaluated in line with Trust and service objectives.
