Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Sustainability you will support execution of corporate projects affecting the Conagra Brands product portfolio and helps build the business case for sustainability across company functions. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders on projects addressing climate change, water use, sustainable sourcing, packaging, end-to-end waste, animal welfare and other material topics. You’ll work as a member of the Sustainability Team and will understand sustainability strategies, goals and objectives, and have subject matter expertise in at least one material environmental topics outlined in our annual CSR report.You Will:

  • Support corporate sustainability goals under the direction of supervisor, including project management, research and analysis, communications materials development, and internal and external presentation.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Procurement, R&D, supply chain, brand and other departments to promote the business case for sustainability and advance initiatives.
  • Manage sustainable product attribute analysis and prioritization efforts across the portfolio.
  • Stay current on global sustainability reporting standards and stakeholder expectations and contribute to reporting and analytical initiatives.
  • Support responsible sourcing efforts, including goal development, tracking, risk mapping, and reporting.
  • Evaluate stakeholder perception, environmental impacts and sourcing risks related to procured ingredients.
  • Stay current on certification opportunities and provide counsel to sustainability, R&D, Procurement and brand teams.
  • Be an information resource for customers and internal teams on surveys and other communications opportunities.
  • Conduct baseline research and coordinate with external experts to evaluate scientific information related to sustainability claims and trends.
  • Represent Conagra Brands at relevant events and in NGO, industry and other external stakeholder engagements.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Biology or related scientific field
  • 3 years corporate sustainability experience, expertise in CPG and/or food industry preferred, will consider other related public sector experience.
  • Experience working with NGO, government and industry organizations.
  • Knowledge of relevant corporate social and environmental responsibility topics, including climate change, sourcing, production, consumer and investor sustainability trends.
  • Experience in agriculture or animal welfare issues and opportunities
  • Experience managing multiple diverse work streams.
  • Project management, research, written and oral communication skills.
  • Meeting organization and facilitation skills.
  • Excel intermediate level, SharePoint and Power Point.
  • We ask that you travel up to 30% and the ability to drive a company car or rented vehicle.
  • Number of days in the office: 3 Tuesday through Thursday

An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
