This beautiful grade II listed building and former HQ of the Port of London Authority has 100 rooms, 41 residential apartments of which 31 units are in a FS run transient rental program, a stunning ballroom which has hosted the inaugural Reception of the United Nations, 5 meeting rooms, a stunning destination spa with 6 treatment rooms, hammam, steam, sauna and swimming and vitality pool, and a fantastic Food and Beverage offering including La Dame de Pic (French cuisine, 2*Michelin Star), Mei Ume (Chinese/ Japanese cuisine) and Rotunda (all day dinning, afternoon tea & bar).Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is looking for an Assistant Director of Engineering to join our team.The Role of the Assistant Director of Engineering:The Assistant Director of Engineering works closely with the Director of Engineering to oversee a team of Engineering and Maintenance specialists responsible for all engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities including plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, electrical, ground care and parking areas. The Assistant Director is also responsible for Life/Fire safety systems, energy/green initiative systems and management of other engineering work necessary to maintain the property in an efficient condition to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and employees.What you will do:Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all hotel systems including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, and structural elements, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.Manage and supervise a team of engineering and maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Lead and coordinate all capital projects, including room refurbishments, system upgrades, and other property improvements, ensuring timely completion within budget.Ensure compliance with all safety, fire, and life safety systems and regulations, maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees.Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital expenditures and P&L, and actively monitor energy and sustainability initiatives.What you bring:Five years previous management experience in hotel or building engineering maintenanceQualifications are required either a Professional degree in an Engineering discipline and/or trade degree in a specific technical field relating to EngineeringBudget / Capital and P&L expense managementExperience in managing capital projects and rooms refurbishment programSolid project management skills, a strong work/ethic, adaptability and flexibility and leadership skillsJoin the team at Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge and you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including:Competitive salaryExcellent training and career development opportunitiesUp to 20 complimentary nights at any Four Seasons Hotel or Resort around the world based on years of serviceFree meals at Pepys Cellar (staff canteen) while on duty including fruits, coffee/tea and fizzy drinks available throughout the dayUp to 2 paid Wellness days per year!Holiday entitlement increases with years of service up to 33 days offFree Life InsuranceBupa Dental and MediCash plan availableSeason ticket loan & cycle to work schemeFree uniform dry cleaning availableEmployee Experience: Annual Themed Employee Party and many social, charitable and sporting events throughout the year.Access to Wagestream– a salary advance benefitEmployee Recognition Programmes&many, many more surprises to discover!All applicants must possess the legal right to work in the UK.
