An award-winning Foundation that is renowned for creating opportunities to help enhance the lives of people in its local community through education, employment, health, and social inclusion programmes.The Club is seeking a Football Development Manager to provide strategic support to the Head of Spurs Football Development (SFD) to lead the management, operation and strategic development of all SFD programmes to ensure that programmes perform within budget and meet relevant commercial targets.JOB PURPOSE
The post-holder will work closely with staff based internationally to support their day-to-day operation and programme performance. Additionally, the Football Development Manager will be at the heart of developing strong player and coach development pathways internally across all football departments I.E. Academy/Women’s/Foundation to ensure that there is a progressive pathway for players and coaches within the Club, with appropriate operational processes aligned to these pathways. The Football Development Manager will ensure that that all SFD programme/events operations, logistics and processes are delivered in a professional manner and adhere to all relevant Club policies, operating procedures, and coaching philosophies.The position will involve working irregular hours (e.g., evenings / Saturdays / Sundays / Bank Holidays) so a flexible candidate is sought.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the Head of SFD, lead on the implementation of strategic management, development and operation of all international SFD programmes, its strategic business direction and future growth.
Provide a point of contact for international leads to support the management, operation and development of appropriate international strategies across existing SFD partnerships in key markets/regions to ensure world class delivery.
Line manage SFD Operations Manager to develop and refine operational processes that underpin our domestic football development programmes to ensure first class delivery and clear communication across all areas of the business, in addition to aligning these processes into SFD’s international programmes.
Line manage the SFD Coach Developer to ensure that there is a first-class coach development programme, and relevant operational processes, in place as part of creating a strong coach development pathway for SFD to progress within the department.
Work within the SFD Strategic Management Group to ensure that programme objectives and priorities are on track, whilst working collaboratively to support broader needs across all SFD programmes
Support the Head of SFD with the identification and development of new business opportunities that support the broader Club’s strategic projects E.G. Domestic & International Fan Growth projects to support player development, coach education and enhance brand awareness in key markets.
Lead on the integration of SFD with other key departments I.E. Marketing, Legal, Finance, Partnerships to develop an efficient and aligned way of working across key areas of the Club with regards to all international projects.
Working with the domestic management group to support the implementation of a quality assurance strategy to support all coached across SFD programmes.
Work with the Domestic Programme Manager with the development and implementation of a clear player and coach pathway into/from SFD into relevant environments e.g., Academy/Women’s, working closely with the Player & Coach Development Coordinator & Coach Developer to align staff within domestic and international delivery and to build closer working relations to strengthen the coaching workforce across the Club.
Work with broader commercial team to strategically plan on key Club partnership activation to ensure appropriate staff are identified and allocated to these events as well as support new commercial opportunities and growth.
Work closely with the SFD Business Development Manager, and the Domestic Programmes Manager to develop additional business opportunities domestically and to ensure that partnership requirements align with the operational needs of the business.
Ensure a robust monitoring and evaluation report process for all SFD programmes is in place and adhered to by all programme managers.
Support the process of all SFD contract and legal negotiations for all international partnerships as directed by the Head of SFD.
Support the development of strategic club partnerships, where required, including, Nike, NFL, AIA, Grow Football. Understand and comply with all relevant Club policies.GENERAL

Sports/Business development related degree or equivalent
Experienced in the management of football development and/or community programmes
Track record with strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and programme development.
Exceptional leadership skills with experience of managing large, diverse teams.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated project management and event coordination skills
Excellent Word, Excel & PowerPoint skills
