Through clear ambitions and commitments under ESG we are looking for an innovative, driven and engaging individual to deliver our Responsible Sourcing and Human Rights ambitions.This role is on a 14-month fixed term contract.The ideal candidate will have some experience across Responsible Sourcing and Human Rights and be looking to build on this foundational experience within a fast-paced and diverse workspace. This role will engage with Multi-Stakeholder Initiatives, Non-Government Organisations and the Asda business to ensure that our leverage and objectives are delivered.The role will require you to:

  • Understand how businesses should operate in-line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
  • Work with suppliers and colleagues to on-board in-scope locations in-line with Asda’s Transparency Policy
  • Be innovative, curious and driven to deliver different options and challenge existing ways of working in a constructive and collaborative way
  • Support the Responsible Sourcing and Human Rights teams engagement with suppliers and enable proactive and timely communications around key focus areas
  • Catalogue, report, and own the incident management process for Asda providing real-time reporting and outcomes
  • Manage, cleanse, and organise social compliance information presenting trends, insights and action plans associated with this
  • Drive corrective actions and outcomes for workers from audit findings and initiatives
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to enable Asda to achieve its ambitions under ESG
  • Operate as a key Asda representative within multi-stakeholder initiatives focusing on Human Rights and worker impacts.
  • Work with suppliers and developing relationships that enhance worker experience and ensure compliance with our Standards for Suppliers
  • Work within governance channels to enable Asda Human Rights Steering Committee.

  • Have a strong interest in Responsible Sourcing, Human Rights, and ESG
  • Experience in administrative or analytical roles, ideally within retail, FMCG, or a related industry
  • Proven ability to manage data and present insights clearly
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • An innovative mindset, looking to solve problems and to generate new outcomes
