Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?This position calls on your analytical and project management skills to support the design, development and execution of compensation solutions. You add value by applying technical expertise to support the building of compensation models, forecasting compensation costs for financial accruals, project managing market surveys, and preparing compensation reports, presentations and analysis. In this role you will report to the Senior Director, Compensation and join a highly motivated team of HR professionals who are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences that enable RBC to attract, engage and retain talent.What will you do?

  • Work collaboratively with HR and management to support quarterly incentive spend forecasts.
  • Gather historical compensation data and perform analysis that will be used as the baseline for scenario planning and compensation redesign.
  • Produce scheduled and ad hoc compensation reports, working with HR and business partners to consolidate and analyze relevant data.
  • Manage third party market research, including the cost effective collection, modeling and analysis of compensation data, providing meaningful insights and action plans.
  • Act as a source of expertise for HR Business Partners and people managers in respect of year-end Compensation tools and processes.
  • Support compensation communications, ensuring HR Business Partners, people managers and employees receive timely and easy to understand information on their compensation programs.
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness through continuous process improvement, automation and streamlining.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Business, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience in compensation or management reporting and analysis, ideally within the financial services industry
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skills and ability to explore new technologies to enhance the delivery of compensation information
  • Keen sense of numbers and strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask and handle high-press executive level requests on a regular basis
  • Experience in financial modelling, including understanding of statistics, risk or other quantitative metrics
  • Experience managing projects and executing processes and ensuring compliance with policy, legal and administrative requirements

Nice-to-have

  • Experience using SAP and Web-based compensation tools, e.g. PayFactors, WorkDay
  • Experience providing market analytics and insights
  • Experience in a large, complex corporate environment
