Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?As a key member of the Performance Management Finance team, this role will execute various reporting and analysis deliverables primarily related to income taxes and compensation for the Capital Markets platform. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and establishing controls to ensure accurate and timely reporting, providing value-add analysis, developing analytical tools and insights, and preparing presentation materials for Capital Markets Finance Executives.What you will do?

  • Manage the end-to-end Capital Markets management and financial reporting mandate for income taxes and compensation (inclusive of month end and quarter end reporting/commentary) to senior management and functional partners internally, as well as to support external reporting disclosures
  • Work closely with global Financial and Product Control teams, Business Advisory groups, Tax Group, and RBC Financial & Regulatory Reporting to actively monitor and report on income tax and compensation impacts to financial results for Capital Markets
  • Develop Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet analysis for senior management through insightful and value-added commentary using macro and micro level datasets
  • Lead initiatives to develop analytical tools to continuously improve reporting of historical and forward-looking commentary and performance metrics for P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Conduct ad-hoc projects as directed by Senior Management

What you need to succeed?Must Have

  • Accounting designation (CPA or MBA)
  • Experience in an accounting/finance and reporting/analytics environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced user proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, spreadsheet/financial accounting skills, and any other related accounting software
  • Strong investigative mindset and analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships across various stakeholders

  • Exposure to Capital Markets products and businesses
  • Knowledge and experience using analytical tools and managing large datasets
