Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?RBC InvestEase is an investment management service that has ‘digital at the centre’ and a light human touch. As a Bilingual Portfolio Advisor, you are the primary point of contact for French and English clients seeking personal assistance with their investments, questions and concerns, and as such you will maintain and build client relationships through exceptional client service and trusted investment advice. You will provide investment advice to clients via electronic channels (telephone and email) relating to all elements of the know-your-client (KYC) process including: risk tolerance, investment objective, time horizon etc. and so you must ensure all KYC information is correct and up-to-date.What will you do?

  • Educate clients by explaining the features, fees and benefits of RBC InvestEase
  • Manage the administrative client onboarding process (e.g. scheduling client appointments, and dealing with non – responsive clients)
  • Manage tasks and/or activities delegated by the Portfolio Advisors e.g. salesforce updates, transactional inquiries regarding trades or withdrawals, or operational account follow up
  • Monitor the RBC InvestEase General Inquiries mailbox on a daily basis and respond to clients as necessary
  • Participate in Investment Committee meetings by contributing to topics that are related to the RBC InvestEase investment process or portfolios, anticipating client questions regarding recent economic events, macroeconomic trends or financial markets
  • Collaborate with the broader RBC InvestEase team (including operations, strategy and product development) to provide client feedback or client insights for the purposes of improving the overall client experience
  • Handle client concerns and/or complaints and escalate in compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Responsible to identify, manage, and if necessary, escalate the risks and/or control deficiencies

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • University degree with preferred concentration in accounting, business, economics, finance, math, and/or international studies.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years securities or financial markets experience.
  • Securities licenses.
  • Verbal and written fluency in both English and French languages.
  • Broad knowledge of financial markets and investment industry.
  • Continuous awareness of economic and market environments.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office products, as well as key analytical tools – Morningstar, PSN, FactSet, etc.
  • Skilled and experienced in making sound investment recommendations and providing related portfolio management advice.
