Teacher of Design Technology (Food and Textiles Specialist)MPS/UPS for Subject Teacher (potential TLR2a for Second in Faculty (DT Lead) Post for Suitable Candidate)To start September 2025, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced person to teach in our Art and Design Technology Faculty (ability to teach across the KS3 curriculum DT in all material areas would be beneficial) with a specialism in food and textiles at KS4. The Art and Design Technology Faculty is a highly successful and popular curriculum area within the school with the majority of students opting for at least one of the material areas at GCSE.It consists of;Head of Faculty – Art and Photography Specialist2 x Art Teachers2 x DT teachersThis post is an additional member of staff due to the growth of the subject area.You should be highly motivated, proactive and able to support all students to achieve their potential. Our aim is to ensure students make the best possible progress and your teaching will be integral to this. Currently we offer GCSE Catering/Hospitality, GCSE Design Technology, GCSE Art and GCSE Photography.For the right candidate with sufficient experience, there is potential for the role to become a Second in Faculty position to support the Head of Faculty.
