We are looking to appoint a HCPC registered dietitian to join our friendly and supportive dietetic team at Newcastle Hospitals as a permanent specialist band 6 allergy and coeliac dietitian. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside a lead specialist coeliac & adult allergy dietitian within a regional allergy and immunology unit.The successful candidate will and be a valued member of the allergy & immunology MDT as well as the specialist coeliac disease service. There are opportunities for national and international CPD within both specialist areas.This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your dietetic experience within 2specialist areas, working within the already established multidisciplinary team.The dietetic department is part of Newcastle Nutrition, an enthusiastic and committed dietetic organisation, and benefits from excellent support from specialist colleagues within many disciplines. You should have already gained post-registration dietetic experience across a range of areas in an acute hospital setting. Experience of working withcoeliac disease /allergy and food intolerancepatients is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

- Deliver a high quality dietetic service
- Take part in student training and supervision
- Contribute to research and audit
- Work effectively as part of the MDT
- Previous coeliac and allergy experience would be desirable but not essential
You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated and will:
- Have post-registration experience in general dietetics
- Have experience of working within the specialist areas or be able to demonstrate a good baseline knowledge of the nutritional needs
- Be able to demonstrate ongoing CPD and have evidence of developing practice.
- Be able to support colleagues and take responsibility for the clinical supervision of junior staff and students.
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to maintain good relationships with colleagues and the wider the MDT
