We are recruiting a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist/ Neuropsychologist to join the post acute neurorehabilitation services (Level 1 and 2) at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Orpington Hospital site.The post is part of a well established MDT and as the team neuropsychologist you will be providing neuropsychological assessment, intervention and neuro-rehabilitation .This is a full time, 8 a post that would suit someone hoping to complete the QiCN.Applicants should be registered as clinical psychologists with the Health and Care Professions Council and with some experience of working in clinical neuropsychology and/or physical health setting.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will also be expected to work effectively with the in-patient multidisciplinary team. This may involve psychological assessment and treatment (for example of challenging behaviour); participating in the ward round / MDM; performing mental capacity assessments and coordinating best interest meetings; organising and coordinating family meetings; offering consultation to the wider multi-disciplinary team.The post holder will ensure the systematic provision of a highly specialised clinical psychology service within neuropsychological rehabilitation. This will require the analysis of complex information to determine the planning and management of psychological assessment and therapy of patients with complex neurological disorders and requiring specialist management.The post holder will be expected to undertake service evaluation and audit of their clinical practice and contribute to the development of the service.About usKing’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of c£1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and around 14,000 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London.   • Advanced level knowledge of at least two models of psychological therapy and knowledge of the theoretical and evidence base for them.
  • Experience of post qualification psychological work with clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature.
  • Advanced knowledge of psychological assessment and clinical neuropsychological assessment.
