Get in touch with us to discuss in more detail.Commercial and Operations Manager (Fintech)London – Hybrid (min 50% office based)We have a brand new role for a Commercial and Operations Manager within our Retail business, to support the Retail Commercial & Propositions Director, in driving the financial success and growth of the business, as well as being responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial and operational aspects of Just’s platform service, Spire Platform ServicesThis role can be a great career opportunity for someone with an accountancy or actuarial degree or working towards it looking for a new challenge, or someone working as a business manager within financial services, looking to develop their leadership, strategy and commercial skills.Key Responsibilities:Support the development and implementation of commercial strategies including undertaking opportunity assessments and considering the overall strategy of the business.Support the Commercial director and other Retail commercial leads in maximising revenue and efficiencies in the Retail business.Facilitate trading committees to support forward looking actions to deliver business plan.Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities.Managing budgets and financial plans for the platform service, including revenue forecasting and cost control.Analysing financial reports and performance data to make informed business decisions.Supporting in the negotiating of contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure favourable terms.Assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with commercial activities.Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities to drive improvement in performance.Skills and Experience:Degree educated or professional equivalent in business or strategy qualification, including finance or actuarialExperience in either Financial Services, FinTech, Accountancy or actuarialProven ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve commercial objectivesProven track record of delivery – excellent planning, coordination and organisation skills.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions under pressure.Strong ability to analyse financial data and market trends to make data-driven decisions.Proficiency in using analytical tools and software to interpret complex information.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partnersStrong risk awareness including the ability to identify a range of risks (commercial, legal, financial, engagement impact etc) and apply a risk-based approach to decision making including mitigating actions.Company BenefitsA Competitive Salary, Pension Scheme and Life AssuranceAlong with 25 Days Annual Leave plus an Additional Day on us for your BirthdayPrivate Medical Cover and Income Protection, just in caseA generous and highly achievable bonus scheme – paid annually based on individual and company performance against targetsOpportunity to progress within your career both in-role and within the companyFREE access to the Headspace App, a 24/7 Employee Assistance Helpline and Trained Physical & Mental Health First Aiders (On-Site)A variety of Employee Funded Benefits available to you via our Online Benefits PortalPlus, several additional purchase options available for you and your loved onesAbout UsWe’re a FTSE 250 Financial Services company who specialise in retirement solutions and right now, our world is moving pretty quickly.How people work, save, and plan for the future is all changing.
