By translating materials into all UN languages, we aim to make our resources more accessible and impactful for diverse audiences worldwide.Task type:Translation and InterpretationTask description:We are seeking Online Volunteers to support our translation efforts from English to Russian for our revamped website, publications, and advocacy materials. This initiative will help make our work more accessible to Russian-speaking audiences and strengthen our global advocacy efforts.Key Responsibilities:
Translate website content, including articles, webpages, and headings, as well as publications from English to Russian.
Ensure translations are clear, concise, and culturally appropriate for the target audience.
Adhere to established communications guidelines and terminology to maintain consistency.
Selected volunteers will receive original documents, audience-specific guidance, and communication guidelines to ensure accuracy and coherence in translations.On average, the expected workload is:
First Two Weeks: Since the assignment includes website revamping, volunteers will initially focus on translating key webpages with a combined word limit of 5,000 words over two weeks (or 2,500 words per week).
Weekly: 2 news articles (approximately 600 words each) and 1 report (2,000 words every two weeks), totaling 2,200 words per week.Requirements:Native Russian speaker with fluency in English
Familiarity with technical terminology related to violence against children (preferred)
Previous translation experience (considered an asset)Work Hours: 11 – 15
